Are you constantly squeezing your budget looking to wring out a few more dollars for advertising?

Google Grants gives nonprofits, like YMCAs, $10,000 per month in advertising credits (free money) to run Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns on Google Search. 

If you are a nonprofit, 501-3c, you probably qualify for a Google Grant. Visit https://www.google.com/grants/ to see if you are eligible (if you are a YMCA the answer is probably YES) and to apply today.

A Google Grant allows you to build Pay Per Click campaigns for your YMCA. And Yes, with all free money, there are rules.

  • You have to actively manage your campaign which means setting aside time each month to review, manage and improve your campaign. if you fail to do so, Google has the right to terminate your account.
  • You will have the maximum amount you can bid on each search term. At the time of this article, the maximum is $2 per click. But if you set up your campaign to track conversions, Google will increase your bid amount to $2.40.
  • You can build a campaign or ad group for almost any program in your YMCA. Attract new members, Zumba lessons, swim lessons. soccer, camp, childcare, gymnastics, art, fitness... Nearly every program you offer.

You can run these campaigns yourself or hire someone like Thrive to manage them for you.
